Our Australian Shepherds

Ironwood’s Everyone Loves Queso

And it’s true! Everyone loves this charmer! Queso is out of Cinch x Stella - a full sibling to our beloved Laredo. Just like her sister, I don’t think Aussie’s get any more laid back and chill. She’s always up for an adventure, but ever since puppyhood, this girl requires almost nothing to be happy except a little bit of petting and cuddling. She is a beautiful mover and moderate. Owned by Janine Sevits.

JJ’s One Stellar Kowgirl

Stella is another very classy Aussie girl. She is fairly stout, medium-heavy in bone and body yet maintains extremely feminine features. She is very intelligent and always watches and observes before taking action. She is extremely low maintenance but looks forward to our adventures through the pastures and hikes. Moderate-heavy bone and body, medium drive, low-medium energy. Owned by Janine Sevits

IWR Dottie’s Western Delite

Dottie had a couple beautiful litters of wonderful babies but ultimately, motherhood was not her thing. With her best interest in mind, we decided to retire Miss Dottie and while we miss her dearly, she is living the life every dog dreams of with the Laughlin Family in Arizona!

JJ’s Loretta Kountry Kowgirl

Loretta is classyand yet the biggest goofball that ever existed in dog form. She is all about having a good time! She bounces and bucks, falls to the ground and jumps back up again. Her enthusiasm for life is unfaltering. She is loyal, loves to be with her people and is always up for an adventure. She is living with her favorite human and owner, Janine Sevits, in her retirement.

Always in our Hearts…

UKC GrCH Ironwood’s Don’t Let Her Go

Lara (or Laredo) is a beautiful girl out of Stella & Cinch. She earned her name when she turned about 6 weeks old - Janine and I looked at each other before we started the selection process and said “we can’t let her go!” We tragically lost her at just shy of 18 months to a very rare cancer. In her short life, she accomplished so much and helped me achieve goals I never knew I had. She was also the first dog my son took around the ring in UKC Juniors PeeWee - she always took care of him.

JJ’s Concho River Cowboy

Gone entirely too soon, we will miss this goofball everyday. He stamped his puppies with his lovable aloofness, athletic ability and gentle soul. RIP Concho <3

Double J’s Rowdy Lady

Gracie has raised some of the kindest, most gentle and loyal puppies in her time. She was a great mama dog but she spent the last several of her years to focus on her main role around here - bossin’. She was definitely the boss lady around here and kept all the animals (and sometimes people) in line! We loved her enthusiasm for life and work. Fun story - When she was about 4 years old, she got her bottom front teeth kicked out by a horse. They were wired back in by the vet only to get kicked out by a cow the very next day. Needless to say, she didn’t have very many teeth. Thank you for 13 amazing years, Gracie! Rest easy <3

JJ’s Dallas Kowgirl

Dallas was quite the companion, working dog and family member. The Sevits Family felt robbed as she passed at just 9 years old from complications with a tick borne illness that became much too advanced for veterinary staff and our hearts to handle. Dallas loved her family, especially her two little human girls, Claira and Evie. She is sorely missed by anyone that knew her. We know watching the gates of heaven, just like she watched the gates on the farm. RIP Dallas

JJ Cinch Em Up Cowboy

The Ironwood Ridge Family said goodbye to our most beloved Cinch Summer 2024 at 14.5 years old. Our hearts will never be the same without him around. He was truly a gentleman of a dog - he protected his family fiercly but was welcoming to any friendly face. He was quick to perform his favorite tricks for adoring fans. He will be sorely missed on our horse rides. Any cowgirl and cowboy knows how good those dogs are; the ones that will cross any mountain alongside you, swim through any river to keep up. Cinch was that kind of loyalty. We know he is reuinited with his one true love, Gracie, in heaven. You gave so many families a piece of you in their puppies. We are proud to have several daughters, granddaughters and great granddaughters still our program to carry on your legacy. RIP, our dear Cinch. 2010-2014
